My Voice 2: Women and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Scotland: A Participatory Action Research Project

This research project, led by Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh and Waverleycare organisation in 2017, presents findings from the second phase of My Voice, a participatory action research initiative addressing Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Scotland.

My Voice aims to engage affected communities, ensuring their perspectives inform awareness efforts and the development of culturally sensitive FGM-related services.

My Voice features data collected by affected community members and shares the experiences of women with FGM. These insights are vital for understanding the challenges faced by FGM-affected communities in Scotland and for identifying effective strategies to enhance community participation in Scotland’s response to FGM.
